Calling All Fredericksburg Artists!

To support Fredericksburg’s incredible art community, the Fredericksburg Arts Commission is organizing a weekend online pop-up sale the weekend of February 2nd-4th, 2024.

If you are an artist who

  1. lives in the City of Fredericksburg
  2. has a studio in the City
  3. is part of a gallery or other arts organization in the City
  4. or represents an arts organization in the City

we want to help you sell your work!

All you need is an online store that we can link to from 7 AM on February 2nd to 11:59 PM on February 4th. We want painters, musicians, authors, potters, arts organization merch, whatever you’ve got. If you have questions about setting up a quick temporary online store, let us know!

Here’s how the sale will work: We’ll open our website at 7 AM on Friday, February 2nd, and visitors to our site will find a link to your online store. You’ll be handling all of the sales, pickup, delivery, as needed; we’re just there to send people your way. We’ll close down our site at 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 4th. You can of course keep selling in your stores, and we hope to do something like this again, but we want to make sure that artists who don’t want a permanent online store can have a temporary venue.  There’s no cost to participate in this website.

Why all this talk about the City of Fredericksburg? The Fredericksburg Arts Commission is a municipal body funded by the City of Fredericksburg and our mandate is to directly support City artists and organizations as much as possible. An easy way to tell if you or your organization is located in the City of Fredericksburg is if your zip code is 22401.

Artist & Organization Signup Form

The name you go by, either as an individual or an organization. If you're part of a group that you want to recognize, like a solo musician who's also in a band, you can list that band in the "other name" field
If you're Maria Acosta of Two Marias Pottery, then you and your friend Maria would each fill out this form and put your individual name in the Primary field, and Two Marias Pottery in this field.
E.g. R&B music, Watercolor painting, Membership arts organization, something to tell people what you do.

We will display this for visitors, some of whom may be out of the area

Please upload a square image of your work if you're an artist, a logo if you're an organization, something to entice people to click on your link who might not know your name or face. Images should be at least 1200px wide and a JPG or PNG file. This image will be used on our website and possibly in advertising materials for this and related programs. If you have trouble with your image, submit your form without one and we'll work out your image later.
